State Mathematics Contest

Wake Technical Community College Math and Physics Department annually sponsors a regional contest for Middle School and High School students as part of the State Mathematics Contest. The State Mathematics Contest was initiated in 1979 under the sponsorship of the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the State Department of Public Instruction to provide state level competition in mathematics. Wake Tech is one of sixteen regional test sites and the students who excel at any one of those sites are invited to participate in the state finals in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Comprehensive competitions.
